Mind Your Healing Crisis

without comments

When it is time for us to change the direction of our lives, we receive several clues from the Universe that a change is needed.  When our consciousness is aware of our surroundings, we take heed of the subtle hints we receive from our environment.  When we are oblivious of the many sacred signs presented to us in many ways, then we are gifted with a series of crises.  Our present state of affairs become more unpleasant as time goes by.  Each incident progresses worse than the many ones before it, until we can no longer ignore the mounting crisis.  Many a times, the resulting factor is so drastic and show-stopping that we cannot help but stop what we are doing and start paying attention.  It is at this time that we begin to call for help, and we begin minding our healing crisis.

Our healing crisis comes to us in many forms.  Perhaps we meet a major accident, our partner leaves us, our employers lay us off, or we are diagnosed with a life-threatening disease.  Whatever is the case, we begin receiving several hints something big is about to happen in our lives.  Perhaps we start to have small-scale accidents like tripping over and hurting ourselves badly in the fall.  Perhaps we receive signs our partners maybe engaged in indiscretion.  Perhaps our supervisors become increasingly dissatisfied with our work no matter how hard we try to please them.  Perhaps we begin to have a series of minor illnesses which prompt us to receive medical attention.  These clues become progressively worse, asking us to pay attention.  Then one fateful moment in time, our fate is sealed and we experience tremendous pain in our physical, emotional, mental or spiritual bodies.  That is our hallmark that our crisis has begun.  At first, this crisis does not become a healing crisis right away.  It is when we realize something significant needs attention in our lives that our healing can begin.

What happens as we begin our path to self-discovery is our actual path correction guided by our inner compass. Perhaps we are off-course our soul maps that the Universe is helping us get back on track and move towards our life purpose.  Whatever is the case, our crisis helps to slow us down, to have us look inward and search our hearts for answers.  In some instances, when we are faced with our own mortality, our priorities shift and we re-discover what is important in our lives.  Perhaps the promotion to the next level will not make us happy, but spending more fun and memorable time with our loved ones would fill our lives with laughter.  Perhaps more pay and prestige will not make us fulfilled, but allowing our passions for art and literature would ignite our creativity.  Perhaps more power over others and importance in the eyes of our employers will not make us feel appreciated, but falling in love with our lives again would make the world a brighter place for us.  We realize then how insignificant our former goals were and we take the leap of faith to fulfill our heart’s desires.

First, we mind our healing crisis. Next, we slow down our pace and heal our lives.  Then, we live our heart’s desires and feel the true joyousness of living.
